The New England Chapter, chartered in 1976 as a regional division of the American Medical Writers Association, has grown from fewer than 50 members at its founding to some 550 members today. It is the third largest – and one of the most active – of AMWA’s 19 chapters.

The chapter is governed by an Executive Council in accordance with its Bylaws.
