AMWA membership includes chapter membership. There is no additional dues assessment.

Among the many benefits of AMWA membership are

  • Discounted registration for the national Annual Conference, a three-day event offering an unparalleled menu of workshops, presentations, social events, and informal networking
  • Access to members-only sections of AMWA.org, including Jobs Online, Membership Directory, AMWA Salary Survey, and other valuable resources
  • Free subscription to the quarterly AMWA Journal
  • Opportunity to advertise in the online Freelance Directory

Activities and services of the New England Chapter include

  • Chapter meetings, held six times a year from September through June, featuring a speaker, panel presentation, or roundtable discussions
  • New England Chapter News, a PDF newsletter published four or five times a year and posted on the website, providing details about chapter events and services and noting members’ achievements
  • AMWA New England E-News, sent by e-mail a few times a month to let chapter members know about upcoming events, job openings, freelance opportunities, etc.
  • The New England Conference, a full day of workshops and a networking luncheon, held every two years on a Saturday in the spring
  • The Will Solimene Writing Awards competition, held every two years to recognize outstanding work by chapter members
  • Occasional informal networking meetings
